Ummm I think I might be in heaven tonight!!! Holy freakin awesome hotel bar!!! NYLO bar to be exact! THIS is where myself, Amy, Danielle, Kacey & Meghan are going this evening for dinner & drinks to celebrate Amy's birfffday!!! I have been wanting to check this place out for a while! It's actually one of the places I suggested for guests to stay for our wedding if they wanted a place that was unique & funky! I can't wait to go w/ the girls tonight! Fun times!!!

On a side note...this is the purse that Amy (the birfffday girl) just purchased @ Target! How freakin' HOT is this!!! I think I might have to get this SUNSHINE styled bag! OR steal it from her if she has it with her tonight!

RIP UNCLE ROBERT

Today has been a lil bit of a blur for me…while I am here in RI my family is having a funeral for my (Great) Uncle Robert. One of the downfalls of being up North away from home is being away from things like this. My Uncle Robert passed away on Saturday due to an aneurism. He went into the hospital knowing he had to have surgery but not knowing he wouldn’t come out of the procedure. I am so extremely sadden by this. Most people aren’t very close to their Great Uncle, but I was. My whole family was…My Uncle Robert was my Grandfather’s brother. (While I am typing I find it so strange to talk about him in past tense…) All of us are a pretty darn, tight knit kind of family. So as you can imagine the news of him passing has been a bit hard for me to handle, especially being so far away from everyone. I still can’t believe he is gone….When my mom called me I was in complete shock, my body started shaking & my eyes started filling up with tears. I can’t even imagine what my (Great) Aunt Peggy & Grandfather are going through. Uncle Robert seemed so young! He was sooo very active! He traveled all the time, hunted almost every weekend & talked to you as if he was many years younger then he was. He didn’t seem “old”. Not at all…It’s so sad to think about how fast life can be taken away from someone…pretty much in a blink of an eye, out of the blue, without even expecting it. Luckily most of my family has been able to be there for my Aunt Peggy. I’m sure she has been living a nightmare over the past few days….I really wish I could be home right now. All I can do is hope & pray that Uncle Robert is in a better place….heaven will be lucky to have him, along with his great smile, his distinctive laugh, his “bowl full of jelly” & of course his toothpicks…

FNL IS BACK

FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS IS BAAAAAAAAAAAACK!!!!! I have been waiting months and months for this totally fabulous NBC show to return!!! I can’t wait to be reunited w/ coach Taylor, Tami, Matt Saracen (my lil crush), Lyla (Minka Kelly-Steve's obsession), Riggins, Tyra, Landry, Julie, Smash & Jason Street again!!! If you haven't seen this before you should really check it out! You will get sucked in within the 1st 5 mins of the episode! I promise. Goooo Panthers!

MY LIFE WOULD SUCK WITHOUT YOU

Just as it says..."My Life Would Suck Without You"...I am LOVING Kelly Clarkson's new song!!! I cannot wait to pick up her new CD when it drops in March! Last night I played it over & over again on our laptop so I could start memorizing her lyrics! Steve thought I was a NUT! UNITED STATES OF TARA

Showtime just stopped by the office...they gave me a sneak peek copy of the 1st 2 episodes of "United States of Tara" which premiers this Sunday night! I’m wondering...are any of you interested in watching this new show? I think I might be...I really like Toni Collette.

2 RANDOM THINGS

1. I have started making our Knot page (www.TheKnot.com)! YAY! Sooo exciting! We officially set the date last week for Saturday, September 5th of THIS YEAR!!! Crazy huh? The past couple of weeks have been SUPER stressful for me. It was such a hard decision to make when it came down to the location....VA, WV, CT or RI. After putting a lot of thought into it we decided RI was the best place! It will be sooo much easier for us to plan it up here! This way we can go to all of the fun appointments!.....Our page only has a few details so far....soon enough though it will be complete!.....I still can't believe we are getting married....Woo! Hoo! :)

2. Two more days till Ashley (my sis) & Natalie come visit!!! They will be here Friday-Tuesday! I AM P*U*M*P*E*D!!!.....The only thing is... I’m not sure how they feel about this "Arctic Chill" heading our way! Uh oh! Holy cold.

Did I tell you Steve joined my boss & coworker’s indoor basketball team??? HA! Yep, he sure did! They play every Tuesday night at this indoor place near the Providence airport. It’s pretty sweet! He has now played 3 games with them. There name you ask? COX ROCKETS. (the blue team) Perfect…I know. Here are some pics I took with my phone while watching them run (& fall) up & down the court! High-five to the rockets for walking away with a victory! ;)

LIL LEAH

Awe check out lil Leah! Leah is one of Steve's nieces. Part of her Christmas present was a blow up ball that she can hop around on! We were so happy to see that she LOVED her gift! She was cracking us up...

PROVIDENCE BRIDAL EXPO

Last Sunday I kinda/sorta dragged Steve to the bridal expo with me at the Providence Convention Center. We woke up early to make sure I was one of the 1st 200 brides so I could receive my free rose! HA! Cheesy I know but it was well worth it! As soon as I walked in the door I wanted to scream at the top of my lungs...."FINALLY, IT'S MY TURN!!!" :) HA! I was so freakin excited to be a "bride to be". I was a bit bummed though that I didn't have my mom or sister with me or even any of my closest girl friends to share that day with. I certainly didn't imagine living outside of VA when it came to planning my wedding, that's for sure! Luckily (as always of course), Steve was a sweetheart & went to almost every booth with me! We talked to sooo many vendors & signed up for sooo many raffle prizes! It was very overwhelming, fun & informative! Steve actually enjoyed himself just as much as I did. So that was a HUGE plus. We ended up walking away with a few bags filled with a bunch of sh*t!!! HA...Here are some shots I took w/ my phone...
