ROGER WILLIAMS PARK ZOO

A few weekends ago I went to Providence's Roger Williams Park Zoo w/ Steve's brother Matt, sis in law Nichole, Mom Cyndi & the girls Leah & Avery while Steve was at baseball practice. What a fun time we had! A bit crowded but beautiful weather!...It's not like the zoo in DC for those who are wondering. It's a bit smaller & a whole lot cleaner! Plus they have a butterfly exibit each year that opens up this month! If you come up North for our wedding & have some extra time on your hands you should def check this out! :)

1. Steve & I registered at Bed, Bath & Beyond this weekend on top of Kohl's & Target! Who says we can't register at 3 places? :) BB&B has some cute stuff along w/ some fabulous art prints that go with our "Couture" kitchen theme!!! Yesssssssss.

2. I really love designer Betsy Johnson. I hope she offers a more affordable line in the near future. I dig her funky clothing & accessories!

3. Us & the gang had a great time @ Meghan & Sean's engagement party Saturday night! What a beautiful evening it was for a beautiful couple! I will post the photos tomorrow!

A NOTE TO MY MOM

~Mom~ Since I rarely blog on Sunday's...HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!! You know I wish I could be there with you this weekend celebrating such a wonderful occasion. Although, maybe I really wish I could be there so you & Dad can pay for our meal that day. HA! Just kidding...On a serious note, keep a look out for your card in the mail! It should either arrive today (Fri) or tomorrow (Sat). Steve & I will have a lil gift for you when you come up in a few weeks! Thank you for being the best mom ever! Seriously, Ashley & I are so lucky. You have been a fabulous mom & a fabulous friend! You have always been there for us no matter what. Just like Dad of course. :) Here are a few words that come to mind when i think of you... This is Meghan & Sean. The bride & groom to be! Steve went to HS w/ Sean "back in the day". They both live in NYC now. They will be married after us in October @ the Aldrich Mansion, which is the mansion on the movie "Meet Joe Black"! Aren't they the cutest?
This is where their engagement party is Saturday night. The Simsbury 1820 House. After the party we will be heading out to the bars in Hartford, CT all dressed up!

4 THINGS

1. I heart the smell of mulch & freshly cut grass! The grounds crew here at work is starting to make our COX property pretty! Take a whiff people! Spring is here!!!
2. This morning I opened our back screen door & let Molly out on the deck. She loooooves lying in the sun! I just had to take a quick picture w/ her...I think this shot is funny...Molly doesn't seem one bit interested & I look pissed off!...I wasn't of course, the sun was just super bright!

3. SHOWTIME is in today! Check out the unique rubix cube that all of us employees got! Fun! I'm daring myself to have at it.

4. FREE KFC!!! Did you get your yummy chicken meal that Oprah is offering up? Rumor has it some places have run out of their new grilled pieces! Luckily Steve & I got our free meals the other night! Mmmm mmm mmm.

1. Sunflowers by Vincent van Gogh... This painting will be in my hands in a few weeks! An oversized piece of art-frame included, was given to my Grandparents when my Great Aunt Mary passed away several years ago. It had been displayed in my Grandparents kitchen for years. In the sweetest way possible I asked to have it since we plan to decorate our dinning room w/ a rustic/tuscany/sunflower theme! (Hence the sunflower plates, etc. we registered for at Target.) My Grandmother couldnt resist my request so my parents picked up the print the other weekend when they were visiting her & my Grandfather in NC. They are going to bring it up to us in CT in a few weeks when they visit! Holy exciting.
2. This is my good friend Rebecca's son Gabriel. Check out his smile! Isn't he adorable? I sooo can't wait to finally meet him! Hopefully that will be sometime soon...

3. Purple wedges & purple sunglasses! Look what I got @ TJ Maxx Friday night! Lavender wedge heels for the spring & summer & purple Betsy Johnson aviator shades! Super fun!
