BOSTON.....& KIPPY HAS BALLS!

Miss Molly....

Aren’t these beautiful? Steve got these flowers for our apartment back porch! They remind me of my old house in Franklin Farms. My mom used to have these hanging….they smell sooo good!

Kippy is the bird on the right in the branches above.....A few of you may know by now…Kippy got out yesterday, she flew out the back door when Steve was watering the flowers in the morning. We spent 9 hrs searching for her! Each time we found her she wouldn’t come down from the tree. Of course our apartment complex is surrounded by woods. All of our neighbors were so sweet, they all tried to help out and all told us they would keep a look out for her. We tried everything….Bryan’s plastic wrap bird call, whistling and calling her name, ringing her toy bell, waving her treats in the air & even bringing her cage outside to see if she would fly to it. Shortly after though, her cage ended up knocking over & crashing to the ground…pieces everywhere. It was a lil amusing at times bc we could tell she was having the time of her life, we were sure she was in heaven out on those limbs w/ the sun shining down & the breeze all around her. Around 2:30pm we decided to take a break and get something to eat….then we went back out and searched more. Around 4:30pm we had last heard her chirping in the trees behind our back porch. We whistled and called for her a few more times & then put her cage outside incase in case it drew her attention before we both passed out on the couch….THEN around 5:30pm I heard a chirp. I jumped up from my nap and ran to the back door, as I ran outside she came at me full force landing on my head! HA! I grabbed her and took her inside. Kippy flew home I yelled to Steve as I woke him up from his nap!!! HA! How amazing is that??? I think both of our necks hurt from looking up all day but we are both very relieved she is now safe & sound!

This Saturday-Sunday Steve & I went to Boston! YAY! We had such a great time! We stayed in the beautiful Four Seasons Hotel & saw the Redsox game on Sunday. Im sure you are wondering how in the world we got to stay at the Four Season….well, my old Sprint boss game me a generous gift certificate to the hotel for Christmas before I left the company. Although it didn’t cover all of the nights stay it certainly covered a big chunk of it! Funny thing though….there have been plenty of hotel Steve and I have stayed in that look just as nice & have just as nice service. It made us wonder why the prices of the rooms were so freakin’ high? …..We arrived in the city around 12pm and were able to check in early, we walked around and enjoyed the scenery that surrounded us. The weather was perfect! The rain had held off & we were able to get a bunch of sight seeing in before it started to come down. Just before the rain had started we got back to our room to take a break & refresh before dinner. Where did we go to dinner you might ask? CHEERS of course! Duh! ;) We both ordered burgers & got a deal on beers so we could bring home 2 memorabilia mugs! Sweet! After we ate we walked around the shops & ran across an H&M & Marshalls. Of course we had to go in…The night ended with a few rain drops on our walk back to the hotel & a relaxing 40 mins in the Jacuzzi on the top floor! Ahhhhh. Sunday we woke up, checked out and headed to Fenway Park to see the Sox play the Oakland Athletics. Before the game we ate lunch & had a few drinks @ Beer Works, it was crazy in there! Sooo many fans that were inside & out of the restaurant. Even the streets were blocked off w/ all of the fans! Its amazing how many people come out for the games, it was a sea of people in the streets……Our seats at the game were in the bleachers but that was still a great view! After a few innings we headed towards the field to score some standing room only seats, so that was pretty sweet since we were so close. We stood the rest of the time since it was a better view. Right around the 6th inning a storm came out of no where! Lighting, thunder, down poor….we could have stuck around to see if the game started back up but we decided to leave and get back home around a decent time. Overall it was an awesome 2 days!

Sounds like Kippy needs her wings clipped again :o) You guys are luck you got her back! Oddly enough this is the second story in the last couple months that I have heard where the family bird got loose and was luckily found and returned!
