JANELLE HONEYCUTT

As some of you may know my fellow classmate Janelle Honeycutt was hit by a car on December 9th while crossing the road near her parent’s house in Florida. Janelle & I (as well as several of you) went to Elementary (Oak Hill), Intermediate/Middle (Franklin) & High School (Chantilly) with her. Janelle suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) & has been on a long road to recovery ever since. Day by day she progresses; she has come so far since the accident occurred. Janelle’s family started an online journal that I have been following pretty much since day one. I signed up for the alerts so I can receive each entry in my email inbox as they are added. In the journal you will find her full story, photos, a guestbook section & more. Here is the link: http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/janellehoneycutt/journal

In order to help pay for the outrageous hospital & therapy bills, Janelle’s family & close friends are hosting a benefit for her @ Backyard Bar & Grill in Chantilly, VA on Saturday, June 26th @ 7:30pm (13999 Metrotech Dr Chantilly, VA) to help with the 3 million dollar goal. (YES, that’s 3 million dollars-this is how much it costs for TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) rehabilitation.) This event is open to anyone who wants to attend! It will be held on the outdoor patio area & will include free appetizers as well as numerous drink specials. To partake in this wonderful fundraiser a $10 cash donation (this is only a minimum of course) is kindly being requested per person. For those of you who can’t attend but would love to contribute to the cause you can make a PayPal donation online to the PayPal account
srhoneycutt@tampabay.rr.com ---no donation is too small! ANYTHING will help...If you’d rather mail out a check you can send your donation directly to Mr. & Mrs. Honeycutt in FL.

(Please make checks out to Preston or Sandy Honeycutt)

Some of you may know Janelle really well, some of you may know her from school & some of you may only know her from around the area, from the “neighborhood” or through family & friends…I figured I would cover all of my bases just in case. Feel free to forward on my email or create your own to forward on to those that you think would want to know about this….Janelle need’s all the help she can get during this difficult time. Please keep Janelle & her family in your thoughts & prayers....Hugs to all of you…
