I am working a bit backwards today...oh well. Here are a few shots from last Friday night & Saturday afternoon. Mom & Dad were here visiting as well as my Aunt Angie!!! The 5 of us had such a wonderful time together! The weekend included a trip to our favorite restaurant "Fire & Ice" in Providence & our wedding tasting @ the Providence Sheraton hotel! It was so great to see my parents as well as my Aunt. It had been a few years since we actually got to visit w/ her & really sit down & talk…the visit extra special. It was soooo good to see her! It was truly like "old times"! She & my Mom had a blast together as well; they acted like lil giggly school girls while catching up…w/ a drink in hand of course! I hope to see Angie again sometime soon...maybe for a lil shopping here or there! ;).....For lunch on Saturday Steve, Mom, Dad & I went to our tasting appointment. I could not wait to do this! I have seen people on my favorite wedding shows have this experience & was looking forward to being catered to just like them. It was so much fun! All of our meal choices were VERY yummy!!! We are extremely happy w/ our selections & are proud to say another step closer to finishing my HUGE “to do” list for the big day!

This blog's for you! ;) I am so THANKFUL your triple bypass surgery went well yesterday! I am extremely relieved. I thought about you alllllllll day. Mom called Steve (since my cell is currently drenched in coffee-see a few blogs below) to let us know you were A-O-K. I spoke w/ my parents last night & they filled me in on the good news! Stuff like this is sooo scary... :( I am glad the doctors found out you needed this operation before anything bad happened. I am so thankful for that as well...Dad mentioned to me that you wished you had a laptop in the hospital to read my blog while in bed! Too funny! That made me smile & laugh! How cool that you continue to read my entries! YAY! Take care of yourself & rest up! We can't wait to see you at our wedding in September!!! Miss you lots! Hope all is well in Tennessee! :)

KIPPY LAID AN EGG

SERIOUSLY!!!! She laid an EGG!!! Just the other night!....Apparently Steve has been showing her too much affection! All of those neck rubs & kisses aren't exactly a good thing. It all started a few weeks ago when she would hide in the wicker basket we have in our cubby hole style shelving unit. She would hang out in there for hours & would become very territorial if you came anywhere near it. Just recently we noticed she started chewing the basket. Eventually she chewed right through it! Steve mentioned that it seemed as if she was trying to make a nest after seeing all of the basket shavings in the back of the cubby. He ended up searching her behavior online & read that everything seemed to add up. Wednesday we decided to cover the basket up w/ a blanket so she couldn’t go in there anymore while we were hanging out around the apartment. Later on that evening we put Kippy away & left to run some errands. When we got back, Steve took the blanket off her cage & found an egg! From what we have been told, this isn't very healthy for her since she isn’t fertile. I guess things can start to get dangerous if she lays another one. Looks like Steve needs to pull back on being so lovey dovey! Now that I think about it though....I guess it proves we won’t have any issues making any babies! ;) He seems to have the magic touch! HA!

SHOE-A-HOLIC

Ever since I was younger I have been a SHOE-A-HOLIC! I have many, many, many shoes! To most people's surprise I actually wear all of them! I get most of them from Payless, Ross, Marshalls, TJ Max...etc. I seriously never spend over roughly $20 for a pair of shoes. Id rather have more for my money! I love variety!......Now about the photo below...When my parents came into town last weekend they brought several bags of clothes & shoes that my sister didn’t want anymore. These are the shoes I decided to keep! Thank you for contributing to my addiction Ashley! I can't wait to wear all of these adorable & colorful styles!

WRIGHTS FARM

Steve's surprise birthday dinner @ Wrights Mill was a success!!! My parents Linda & Roy, my Uncle Mark & his fiance Doreen managed to not tell him where we were going when we left our apartment! Even though he was a BIG pain in the butt in the car asking a MILLION questions we were able get him to the restaurant where 20 plus people were waiting to see celebrate with him! It was a bit stressful making sure everything went according to plan but we pulled it off! He was very shocked & also VERY happy to see his brother Matt, sister in law Nichole, niece Avery & all of his close friends sitting at the VERY long table when he walked into the back banquet room! Steve was showered w/ hugs, gifts, cards & many loud claps & cheers throughout the evening! Thank you again to everyone who came out!!! You all ROCK! :)

Tuesday as you all know was Steve’s 29th birthday…. Besides that important fact I had a pretty bad day at work, as well as getting sick & having to stay home yesterday….in the middle of my day I managed to spill my coffee to go mug ALL over my desk, myself & my cell phone. My keyboard, desk phone, cube, chair, pants, sweater ect were COVERED. It was an awful mess! I did the "mom" speed walk to the bathroom & grabbed a bunch of (crappy) paper towels! I came back and mopped up as much as I could while trying to save my work electronics. Little did I know my cell phone had gotten the worst of it. UGGG. Sooooo if you have tried to call or text me you now know why I haven’t gotten back to you. At first my screen turned black, it wouldn’t even power on, then it powered on & showed all the colors of the rainbow. THEN the image & wording on my screen was the mirror image of what it was supposed to be. And now? Well now the image is fine but every time I power it back on it starts to dial 21983471289734812347 numbers and says that # can’t be reached. It’s crazy how dependent I have become on this lil device. I don’t know anyone’s #s by heart. Luckily, the infamous emergency care card that my Dad puts together for my family each year is really coming in handy! On top of this though I realize how much I use the voice records option. It’s the next best thing to post it notes when you need to "jot down" & idea or something that needs to be added to your “to do” list! I am scared that I have lost a few of my recordings! My memory has obviously gone bad since I cant remember them…….Soooo after all of this I figured I definitely needed a new phone. LUCKILY I am due for an upgrade so I am getting the newer version of the RUMOR. Since I don’t want something that's so fancy schmancy I decided to go with the SAMSUNG RANT! I am super excited about this because guess what?!?!?! It’s PURPLE!!! My favorite color! Soooo by this weekend I should be back in service. MY PARENTS ARE HERE!!!!! :)

Well not YET but in 30 mins they will be!!! I am sooooo excited!!! My parents-the infamous, Linda & Roy will be here in Rhode Island @ 2pm! They are coming to visit me & Steve for the weekend!!! I cannot wait to see them! They haven't been up here since the weekend of July 4th. We are going to show them around town more and show them our wedding venues! We are going to bring them to the church & our reception site! It's been so weird planning our big day w/ them over the phone & over email. I hope they love all of the locations as much as Steve & I do! :) On top of this we are going to our favorite place Fire & Ice in Providence for dinner this evening. Tomorrow we have our food tasting apt @ our hotel & our sample linen apt down the street from there. I am super stoked about the linen apt! We will get to see the funky/unique linens myself, Ashley & Natalie picked out! WOO HOO! I don't mean to brag but I have a feeling the combination is gonna look AWESOME!!! Any who...I better finish up my work for the day. I have sooooo much to do before I leave. Check back Monday for my next blog & photos from the weekend!!!

GO RED FOR WOMEN

Sunday night we all got decked out in RED to for Cat Country's "Go Red For Women" country concert!!! The 7 of us had such a great time dressing up & attending this awesome shin dig! The tix were only $15 & went towards a great cause! Women's heart disease if you didn’t know… The event was held at the Crown Plaza hotel in Warwick, RI. The artists were Jessica Andrews ("I am Rosemary's granddaughter, spitting image of my father…", Jamie O'Neal ("When I think about angels, I think about you…"), Jason Michael Carroll & some other guy who I didn’t seem to recognize by his face or his songs….Here are some of the photos from our fun filled night! Including the 2 group shots we had taken on the red carpet! Check out Bryan's sweet red jacket! It was PERFECT for the occasion. Can you believe he was the only one that had one like this? ;)

This is me and my buddy Justin. He is my lovely friend Amanda's boyfriend. I love this photo of us! It's actually one of my favorites. I think this was taken in the summer of 2006 on the streets of Adams Morgan or Georgetown. Probably in Adams Morgan after some late night jumbo slice pizza! Mmmm! Even though Justin is a lil crazy & a lil out there sometimes I consider him as one of my best friends. He has really been there for me over the years. He makes me laugh every time I talk to him or see him! Even though he pisses me off every now & then I can never stay mad at him for long!

I have listed a few things you may or may not know about Justin:

*He can fit into my jeans, yah we pretty much wear the same size. How do I know this? He has tried them on before. (I totally wish I could find this picture!!!)

*He has a tattoo on his arm that says "JLK", I harass him a lot about it bc I swear it looks like the word MILK from afar.

*He is a huge animal lover, him & Amanda pretty much own an in house pet store. Seriously.

*I used to be afraid of him in HS since I thought he was a "bad kid"...lil did I know, he was...& still is....what they call "special".

*I blame him but also thank him for introducing me to Mt. Dew.

*We were dared to make out back in 1999 @ West Virginia University. We didn't "match".
